Fothergilla xintermedia 'Jane Platt' Dwarf Fothergilla

Fothergilla xintermedia 'Jane Platt'

Flowering Dwarf  Fothergilla

Zones 4-8

Fothergilla 'Jane Platt ’ is a dwarf selection of Fothergilla from the famous Platt Garden in Oregon. The compact slower growing form of witch alder may at times have some green-blue cast to the leaves, however, not as much as ‘Blue Mist’ or ‘Blue Shadow’. The leaves are typically more silver green. ‘Jane Platt’ may reach 2 -3 ft in height and width in 10 years. Like the species, the white bottlebrush-like blooms are quite showy. The leaves may have an autumn variety of colors: oranges, yellow, and red. ‘Jane Platt’ is an excellent dwarf for small places in the garden.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of woody ornamentals, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the woody ornamentals you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
