'Jagged Jade' was found as a sport on 'Jade Butterflies. The leaf of 'Jagged Jade' is thicker than most ginkgo leaves and very ruffled around the end of each leaf. It is natural for this tree to have many bends in the trunk and branching, because this tree does not have a regular ginkgo shape. The shape of the leaves and habit gives this ancient plant an even more pre-historic appearance. 'Jagged Jade' turns to bright yellows in the fall. This is a very rare and unique selection.
