Hydrangea macrophylla 'Fuji Waterfall' is a beautiful selection of lacecap Japanese mountain hydrangea which has double white to white-pink florets that cascade downward like a waterfall flowing off the side of Mount Fuji. ‘Fuji Waterfall’ has also been known as ‘Sumido no harabi’ which translates as “Fireworks over the Sumido River”. Either way, the name is extremely poetic for this unique lacecap bloom. ‘Fuji Waterfall’ may reach 3-4 ft in height and width in 10 years.
