Ilex × attenuata 'Sunny Foster' is a sport off of 'Foster #2' that has bright yellow new growth over a dark emerald green in the sun. In the shade, the yellow does not show nearly as vibrant. This is a female selection of holly with bright red berries that give an additional appeal. The shape is pyramidal to 10-12 ft in 15 years. Great year round interest. 2006 Holly of the Year by the Holly Society of America. Limited number of these available. Zones 6-9 and give good drainage.
