'Kiki's Broom' is a slow growing compact selection of magnolia that was named and introduced into the nursery trade by Talon Buchholz. It was found as a compact dwarf mutation called a witches' broom. It was given to him by Greg Williams, who also found Quercus rubra ‘Greg’s Variegated’.

‘Kiki’s Broom’ produces pink-white blooms in abundance across a small rounded dense canopy. ‘Kiki’s Broom’ is quite unique for deciduous magnolias, reaching 2.5 ft in height by 5 ft in width in 10 years. This makes this slower growing magnolia a unique specimen in the landscape and garden.
