'Little Gem’ is a miniature dwarf Norway Spruce. New growth on 'Little Gem's' needles are a bright green and mature to a glossy dark green. Typically, a slow grower, growing to 2 ft in height by 3 ft in width after 10 years. ‘Little Gem’ was found as a sport off Picea abies 'Nidiformis' sometimes called "Bird's Nest" spruce. ‘Little Gem’ is great for small spaces, conifer troughs, fairy gardens and containers. Performs well in rich, sandy soils & cooler climates.
