Picea orientalis 'Tom Thumb' Golden Oriental Spruce

Picea orientalis 'Tom Thumb'
Tom Thumb Golden Oriental Spruce

Zones 4-8

'Tom Thumb' is a small dense compact dwarf golden oriental spruce that was found as a witches' broom on 'Skylands' at Tom Thumb Nursery in New York, grafted and introduced by John Verkade.  The result is a very slow growing compact golden spruce that can reach 2 ft in height and width in 10 years. This makes an excellent choice for a small conifer to add some year-round color in small spaces, containers, or fairy gardens. ‘Tom Thumb’ has also been known as ‘Tom Thumb Gold’, ‘Compacta Aurea Tom Thumb’, and ‘Tom Thumb WB’.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of woody ornamentals, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the woody ornamentals you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
