'Smidtii' is one of the smallest of all the Bosnian Pines. It was found growing in the wild by Eugen Smidt in the late 1920's. Because of its extremely diminutive size, 'Smidtii' is great for small spaces, conifer beds, and containers. It has become increasingly popular in the nursery trade. 'Smidtii' has a dense compact shape with shorter needles. 'Smidtii' may reach 1-1.5 ft in height and width in 10 years.Ā
