Pinus strobus 'Macopin' is a dwarf white pine with a dense slow growing spreading habit. The branching grows in a lateral habit, without attaining much height. 'Macopin' may reach 2-3 ft by 4 ft in width in 10 years. This size is ideal to provide a unique low growing interest, without blocking a view or being to tall in an area. 'Macopin' was found as a dwarf mutation called a witches broom by William Gotelli in Macopin, New Jersey.
