Give 'Ogon' plenty of sun to get the best golden colors. Pinus thunbergii 'Ogon' may reach 7-8 ft in height by 7-8 ft width in 15 years. This selection is believed to have originated in Japan, with the name 'Ogon' which is Japanese for "golden".
