'Okame' is one of the earliest flowering Japanese cherry trees. It was developed by Collingsworth Ingram by hybridizing Prunus campanulate and Prunus incisa. The result is a beautiful more upright pink flowering cherry that demands attention in the spring. ‘Okame’ may reach 15-20 ft in height in 10 years.
