'Corky' is an unusual bur oak selection that gets a heavy corking bark interest at an earlier age, which develops into a gorgeous upright tree. 'Corky' also develops acorns at a fairly young age that are quite large and have a decorative fringe around the cap of the acorn. 'Corky' may grow up to 1-2 ft of growth per year reaching 15-20 ft in 10 years. This selection is especially rare in the nursery trade.
