Azalea 'Appalachian Ambrosia' Native Flame Azalea

RhododendronĀ

ā€˜Appalachian Ambrosia’

Deciduous Azalea

Zones 6-9

'Appalachian Ambrosia' is a newer and fairly amazing native selection that was collected from seed by Vivian Abney in Henry Skinner’s garden full of native and deciduous azaleas. After years of evaluation, Vivian introduced this special azalea for your enjoyment. The blooms on ā€˜Appalachian Ambrosia’ are white with pink blush toward the outside of the petals and a large yellow blotch. With all this color, it makes sense where this azalea gets its southern fruit salad name. ā€˜Appalachian Ambrosia’ is beautiful and fragrant, appealing to all your senses. ā€˜Appalachian Ambrosia’ may reach 6 ft in height by 4 ft in width in 10 years. Working names for ā€˜Appalachian Ambrosia’ were ā€œMountain Ambrosiaā€ and ā€œSK10ā€.

Limited Quantities Available !!Ā As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
