'Appalachian Ambrosia' is a newer and fairly amazing native selection that was collected from seed by Vivian Abney in Henry Skinnerās garden full of native and deciduous azaleas. After years of evaluation, Vivian introduced this special azalea for your enjoyment. The blooms on āAppalachian Ambrosiaā are white with pink blush toward the outside of the petals and a large yellow blotch. With all this color, it makes sense where this azalea gets its southern fruit salad name. āAppalachian Ambrosiaā is beautiful and fragrant, appealing to all your senses. āAppalachian Ambrosiaā may reach 6 ft in height by 4 ft in width in 10 years. Working names for āAppalachian Ambrosiaā were āMountain Ambrosiaā and āSK10ā.
