Japanese umbrella pines are unique, rare, and difficult to propagate. 'Janssen's Variegated' is a selection that has bright yellow variegated needles that contrast well against the green needles. Give 'Janssen's Variegated' morning sun with protection from the hot afternoon sun in the south for best growth. 'Janssen's Variegated' may reach 6-8 ft in 10 years if given the proper growing conditions.
