Japanese umbrella pines are unique, rare and difficult to propagate. 'Richie's Cushion' is a dense dwarf, possibly one of the smallest Japanese umbrella pines on the market. The new growth is also a much lighter green which makes an excellent contrast against the darker older growth. 'Richie's Cushion' may reach 2-3 ft in height and width in 10 years. This makes 'Richie's Cushion' excellent for containers, fairy gardens, and miniature railroad gardens.
