Many Japanese umbrella pines turn to shades of brown-green during the winter months. ‘Wintergreen’ is quite exceptional as it retains its brighter green color during the winter months, giving more winter interest. ‘Wintergreen’ has a conical shape reaching 12-13 ft in height in 10 years. ‘Wintergreen’ is a selection by Japanese umbrella expert, Sid Waxman.
