'Variegata' is a variegated form of Japanese asunaro. This rare conifer from Japan can thrive and do well in moist shaded areas, while also thriving and doing great in sunny spots in the garden. The foliage on Thujopsis dolabrata 'Variegata' has the appearance of variegated green and white scales on one side of the foliage, with a silver backside to the foliage. This conifer is often highly sought out for its unique beauty, but also because it is an evergreen conifer that can show off in the shade. Thujopsis dolabrata 'Variegata' may reach 10 ft in height in 10 years.
