Dannaspire® is an upright lacebark elm with a nice narrow habit. Dannaspire® has the typical green foliage of the species, but an extraordinary yellow to yellow-orange fall color that is long-lasting. The bark on Dannaspire® is an exceptional year round interest when mature bark exfoliates with cream, grey and tan. Dannaspire® may grow 2-3 ft in a year reaching  about 25 ft in height by 4ft in width in 15 years. Dannaspire® was found and introduced by Dave Dannaher of Dannaher Nursery. It has shown to be resistant to Dutch Elm disease, elm yellows, and phloem necrosis. Dannaspire® is extremely drought tolerant and a hardy tree for the landscape, garden, or used as a street tree.
