Pink Pinnacle™ is a beautiful selection of Vitex with large pink flowers. While those in zones 7-9 may enjoy this deciduous shrub as it continues to grow each season, those in Zones 5-6 can enjoy this plant as small shrub that dies back to ground each season. In these warmer zones if 7-9, Pink Pinnacle™ may reach 7-8 ft in height by 5 ft in width in 10 years. You probably have seen Vitex before, realizing it was not a butterfly bush, but looked similar. I remember seeing butterflies flocking to a large Vitex in Greenwood, SC, and was awestruck by its beauty. Pink Pinnacle™ is deer resistant, drought tolerant, salt tolerant, heat tolerant and easy to grow.  Vitex are late to leaf out and late to bloom in the season. This adds vibrance to the summer gardens After blooms have finished, removing finished blooms often will encourage continued blooming. Pink Pinnacle™ was developed in a breeding program at UGA by Carol Robacker.
