'Mon nishiki' is a showy selection of Japanese wisteria that displays yellow speckled variegation on the dark green foliage in the spring. By early to mid summer, 'Mon nishiki' displays light purple blooms on older plants. While this plant is variegated, I recommend growing this in the sun to get the most flowers on this variegated selection of Japanese wisteria. Any solid green shoots should be pruned out. to promote the best variegation. Give wisteria something to climb on for it's best display in the landscape and garden.
