Zenobia pulverulenta 'Woodlander's Blue' is such a lovely native plant. This flowering shrub grows naturally in the coastal plains of Virginia and the Carolinas. Our friend, Bob McCartney, of Woodlanders Nursery, found and introduced this blue form which is spectacular. Like the species, it has beautiful white bell-bell like blooms that hang downward from the stalk. The blue foliage accentuates this white bloom and brings it more attention. ‘Woodlander’s Blue’ may reach 3-4 ft in height and width in 10 years. Give this Zenobia filtered light or morning sun with afternoon shade.
