‘Beni shichihenge’ is a very beautiful mid-sized Japanese maple that puts on a show of colors. The name ‘Beni shichihenge’ means red and changeful. This Japanese maple tree has a spectacular variegated pink and green leaf that makes it highly sought after. In the early spring, ‘Beni shichihenge’ comes out with a light green inner leaf surrounded by magnificent pink margins. 

The beautiful display of color is maintained deep into the summer months. During this time, the pink border on this Japanese maple transforms into a nice cream color adding another beautiful color pattern. In the autumn months, ‘Beni shichihenge’ replaces the cream with tones of orange and red.

For the best color performance, we recommend filtered afternoon light. The growth habit is upright and this Japanese maple tree can reach 10-12 ft over time. ‘Beni shichihenge’ adds an amazing splash of color and will truly become one of your favorite trees.
