‘Strawberry Spring’ leafs out in the spring with one of the prettiest spring pinks of any Japanese maple. The dark green veins etch through the pink reticulated leaves. As the leaves mature, the strawberry effect begins to fade to a creamy green, then to a green, with pink new growth again during the summer. In the fall, ‘Strawberry Spring’ puts on a display of oranges and reds. ‘Strawberry Spring’ is a relatively new introduction, but we expect it to reach 6-8 ft in height in 10 years in an upright manner. ‘Strawberry Spring’ was found and selected as a seedling from 'Amber Ghost’ by Talon Buchholz.
