Larix decidua ‘Krejci’ — Rare Dwarf European Larch — is a truly unique conifer known for its whimsical, twisted character. This dwarf selection features irregularly spaced tufts of contorted needles on gnarled, twisting branches, giving it an almost bonsai-like appearance even in the landscape. A deciduous conifer, it displays soft green needles in spring and summer that turn a brilliant golden-yellow before dropping in fall. Discovered as a root sprout in the Czech Republic in 1984, this slow-growing, irregular dwarf typically reaches about 3 to 5 ft tall and wide in 10 years, making it an excellent focal point for rock gardens, troughs, or small specimen plantings.
