Magnolia 'Elizabeth' is a fast-growing hybrid, reaching 20 ft tall more quickly than almost any other Magnolia variety, and it flowers abundantly! A cross between M. acuminata and M. denudata, this hybrid forms a full and attractive specimen, patented by the Brooklyn Botanical Garden in 1977. Its fragrant, 3-inch-wide light yellow flowers, tinged with yellow-green at the base, cover the tree in late March. Magnolia 'Elizabeth' can reach over 10 ft in 10 years.
