Colorado Spruce
Zones 3-8
Picea pungens ‘Thomsen’ is a fast-growing Colorado spruce with a broadly pyramidal shape, semi-fastigiate branching, and thick, powder-blue needles that rival the color of ‘Hoopsii.’ In 10 years, it typically reaches 10–15 ft tall and 8 ft wide, growing 12–18 inches annually. Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, it makes an excellent specimen tree for year-round color and structure.
