Pinus thunbergii 'Katsugai', also referred to as 'Kasugai', is a slow-growing, compact Japanese Black Pine cultivar prized for its dense branching and distinctive, irregular form. Its dark green needles, arranged in pairs, lend a lush, textured look. Over 10 years, 'Katsugai' reaches a height and spread of about 3-5 ft, making it a superb choice for small gardens, rock gardens, or as a bonsai specimen.
