Rohdea japonica 'Galle' is one of the more narrow leafed selections of Japanese omoto with mature foliage on older plants reaching an inch wide by 9-10 inches long. Because of this, this selection is one of the more popular types to use as an omoto bonsai. 'Galle' develops the same orange red berries as the species that creates a nice winter display. This selection is credited to the plantsman Fred Galle of Calloway Gardens.
