'Horsford Contorted' is a dwarf contorted selection of a twisted contorted hemlock.   This is an extremely are form of contorted hemlock that was found in a group of seedlings near a large contorted hemlock in Vermont by Greg Williams and William Horsford. 'Horsford Contorted' is extremely slow growing reaching 3-3.5 ft in height and width in 10 years. This makes this dwarf hemlock great for small spaces, containers, and bonsai. 'Horsford Contorted' has also been known under the name "Pigtail".
